For my personal situtation I am less concerned with prestige and relationships with other schools (georgetown) than the security of a program that has a strong linkage with its own medical program, without a gap year, based on your performance in the SMP. Osteopathic or Allopathic.

So far I have identified EVMS, LECOM, RFU, KCUMB, UC, Toledo
As far as my stats I have a 3.35 cum / 3.0-3.1 sci 28 Mcat. What I would consider outstanding and diverse ECs with a track record of leadership and working in underserved medical settings as well as letters of rec from a physician who i have worked with for years and professors I know well and got As from.

Im really eager to get started learning again and want to make sure Im somewhere this fall working towards accomplishing my goal of becoming a physician.

Tulane ACP (Anatomy Certification Program) has 100% linkage, but very few spots.

I believe Temple ACMS also has very high linkage.

I have heard that this programs require you to be waitlisted prior to applying though?

What's your science background? Have you done alot of upper division science classes? And have you applied to med school before?

Also western is pretty good if you want to do D.O.

Temple ACMS and Tulane ACP both have a "guarantee" that you will get a spot in the next years class, providing you perform well in the program. Tulane requires you to beat the med student average in anatomy (and histology?), Temple requires you to get a 3.5 in the program and a 30 MCAT (with no section less than 7 or 8 can't remember).

Tulane also requires that you be wait listed at a US MD/DO school, and you need to submit a copy of the wait list letter prior to applying.

From Tulane's website: Within the last five years approximately 86% of the ACP students were accepted to Tulane.

I have very similar stats and identical criteria. The only thing is.. I just read RFU description and I do not see the strong link you're suggesting. Otherwise, I plan on applying to EVMS and Temple..

It used to be a strong linkage.

RFU, but it is still a good program.

From what I have seen in last years thread It seems like a very high percentage of RFU student who get above a B average get into the school

mmmm, I think they used to have an official linkage though.

This thread has real potential! I hope many more people contribute.

There is no more official linkage with RFUMS - it is a good program. I am currently in it and basically if you have a B average or greater in the medical school courses you will get in. This program also helped me outside of RFUMS, something I wasn't expecting - I have already been accepted to another MD school that I will probably be attending next year. All of my interviewers asked about the program and I was able to back it up with my grades.
