I am looking for other alternatives to "The Pill Book".
I mainly would like something with as much info as possible about brand name and gereric drugs. An all inclusive, if you will. Thanks guys/gals...

DeLacy's Drug Information Handbook is the best carry-around for drug info. Sooner or later, you need to get your hands on a Facts. Don't get Martindale's unless you deal with a lot of Canadian or Mexican drugs.

Lexi-comp's (APhA) Drug Information Handbook is one of my fav's for all around use. It's not huge like facts and comparison, but there are no pics or anything either...

I think you're both talking about the same book....?
Lexi-comp's is by Lacy (not DeLacy) though.

Anyhoo, Lexi's is pretty awesome.

I don't know if any of you have checked out www.globalrph.com , but their site is AWESOME for clinical stuff, vanco/aminoglycoside dosing, iv dilutions. It's more useful for actual practice though than educational.

I'll echo the recommendation for Dr. Lacy's DIH. I also carry a Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopoeia (I keep the "shirt pocket edition" in my scrub pocket at the hospital) and a small booklet (a giveaway from Geneva Pharm) that lists brand names with corresponding generic names, and vice versa.

Heh, yeah, ok we were all talking about the same book. I think that they're on the currently 11th edition, and the new ones usually come out in the early summer.
