I've read all posts about DNP's and NP's push for autonomy and many different articles too. Of course I believe that this is all completely ridiculous and I'm amazed it's advanced as far as it has.
I havn't really seen much activity from physicians to oppose and stop nurse's push for autonomy. Am I wrong and are physicians actively opposing nurses? Granting nurses more autonomy is extremely dangerous to patients--not to mention a slap in the face to physicians who shed blood sweat and tears for their positions. I'm surprised that it seems as if physicians are laying down and letting people like Mary Mundinger jeopardize patient safety.
I hope I'm wrong and something is being done to stop Mary Mundinger and her agenda.
