what's mean on Step 3? Seems like most score lower on 3 then 1 or 2....

Anyone know what the mean is on step 3? Seems like everyone I've talked to or glanced at sdn has Step3 scores that are lower than step 2 or 1. If that's the case, there must be some people who actually did better. What's the mean? For step 1, I remember mean was about 220. Step 2 was about 216 or something when i took it.

I just got my score last week and the mean was listed as 214 with a standard deviation of 17.

I did score higher on my step 3 than the other steps but my situation is a little different - I took time off after med school then studied for step 3 for 2 months exclusively before my residency starts this July, so I had more time to study for it than others.

COMLEX: mean is 500 for all steps (1, 2, or 3).
