Hey everyone,

I just got my MCAT score back i got 21M (i know it's bad) My undergraduate science GPA is 2.5 and overall GPA is about the same (oddly). My graduate GPA is 3.42 and i am going to get Master degree next may. i was wondering with my stat, can i get into a POD school (Temple maybe), Please help, thank you

well since you will have a grad degree that will absolutely help your chances of admission. The undergrad GPA is iffy but you have an outstanding grad GPA...you gotta hope that will trump (i think it will). If you're not getting your degree until next may, you might as well go ahead and retake the MCAT just to boost that score up a little...other than that i think you're in fair standing to gain an interview

thank you for replying. I am going to get my Masters degree in biochem at May 2009 and i want to apply now. Which school do you think i should apply or a better question should be which school can i get in. Thank you

um 21 is not bad. 21 will get you in somewhere.

can you tell me where exactly can get in with my stat. Thank you. Can you some school please

You'll be fine. Throw your apps in and interview well and you'll be called Doctor in 4 years!

The competition is getting more intense every year. I think you'll probably have to explain your undergrad GPA, and try to focus on the upward trend. Usually high grades can offset a lower MCAT. EC's are also good.

Unlike what some posters will tell you, people are actually rejected from pod school. You have to work for it now. Good luck on your application! :luck:
