What's the conversion between quarter units and semester units?

Can someone please tell me how to convert between quarter (at the UC's, there are 3 quarters in a year) and semester units? Thank you! 🙂

Quarter*(2/3)=semester

I took a 5 quarter unit class at UCLA and got 3.33 semester credits.

For amcas, it's only two sig figs. I.e., 4 quarter units= 2.7 semester units.
