hey guys!
what's the difference between UCLA and UCLA-Drew?
thanks,
brownie

Well, you are UCLA med students at both schools.

The only difference is, that at Drew, you do your clinical training at King/Drew Hospital instead of UCLA hospital. Both get UCLA med school degrees though.

Hope that helps. 😀

how is the drew hospital different from the UCLA hospital?

and does drew take out of staters? or is it generally harder for out-of-staters to get in than to get into UCLA?

drew students do their first two basic science years at the ucla campus in westwood......
ucla medical center is in westwood and king/drew medical center is in the watts/willowbrook area of south central los angeles....
drew does accept out of state students but i am not sure if it is harder to get in as an out of stater.....my interviewer was a second year medical student who was an out of stater as an applicant......
you can also check out drew's website:

www.cdrewu.edu

hope this helps you out and answers all of the questions posted on this thread......good luck!
