What's up guys and girls,

I will be attending nova this august and wanted to get in touch with my fellow classmates. When is everyone planning on moving to Fort Lauderdale?? I will be driving from california with few of my friends in july so really excited about moving there! Also, where is everyone staying? I put deposit down for student housing. I chose a room in Cultural Living Center that is closer to the gym and i believe it is located South East on main campus. I know that dental school is on North West side, so wanted to know if it is possible to walk to class everyday?

Hope everyone is living it up and enjoying rightnow before school starts =)

holler. good to see another californian 😎 i'm moving to ft. lauderdale mid july i think. i am looking into renting a house with some people that I will know down there, so i dont know anything about campus housing. join the facebook group, i think there are some people there looking for roomates. see you in july 🙂

Awesome!! I am already on facebook and I will probably end up living in a dorm just cause it is so much less hassle. Quick question tho.. were you able to get NSU email address?? I still cant do that cause it says I am not in their comp sys yet ..any thoughts?

yeah you have to set it up when you get your NSU id and pin #. Those are sent in the mail, so if you were just accepted recently, they might not have been sent yet.

Hey. I'm actually going to be living at home with my parents in Coral Springs, FL and commuting each morning. But I'll be back in South Florida in late April after I graduate. Look forward to seeing you all in orientation.

Have anyone received any packet from financial aid office yet?? I heard that they seem to delay financial aid refund $ , so wanted to know how to go by. How much does off-campus living cost per month?? ($1000?) 😕

Nope, haven't received the financial aid packet yet.

Off-campus apartments (1 bdrm/1 bath) seem to be in the price range of $900-1100/mth, depending on its proximity to campus. Two bdrm apts seem to be around $1300/mth.

Hi all!! Housing is expensive in Fort Lauderdale!! I am looking at buying a house with my wife. It seems that renting a 3 bedroom is more expensive than a mortgage and it's a buyers market right now, so I think we'll buy and hope to make money in 4 years when we sell it or at least come out even. A three bedroom home is around $200,000-250,000 a townhouse or condo is around 180,000 and up.
