What's up with all these rejection letters being sent on Fridays?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It gives you a chance to cool down before Monday, when you call to ask what was wrong with your application. Those poor old ladies in admissions, fielding angry phone calls...🙁

At this point, I would rather just hear yes or no and not have to wait longer.
I was just about to say this. It's 6 months in and every time I see [1]inbox, I still get so excited ...just to be disappointed again. papa johns and citibank, please stop e-mailing me til May 15th.

On a more positive but similar note, I have gotten all of my interview invites but one on a Tuesday.

Same to groupon, the stupid secret shopper thing I signed up for seven years ago and only did once, and mint.com.

They are trying to ruin your weekends obviously.

Studies have statistically shown that there's less chance of an incident if you do it at the end of the week.

It's Friday, Friday, gettin' turned down on Friday, everybody's drinkin' harder through the weekend...

Haha, I feel the exact same way...

scarshapedstar may be up to something. My hypothesis is that Rebecca Black has something to do with this. Of course, it is mere conjecture at this point, but it would be nice if we could come up with some way to test the validity of this.

In preparation for med school, I've been deleting myself off as many extraneous lists as possible so I have less crap to deal with.

Agreed I haven't had a single interview or rejection and I had most of my secondaries in by July-August.

aha! someone didn't apply to the almighty rejectormonster known as Boston

Nah just Tufts. It's just downright annoying. I guess they need to justify taking our money by making us think we actually have a chance by holding us to the end.

My colleagues at the lab I work at send me random emails everyday and I return from an experiment and get all excited seeing [1] inbox.

:laugh::laugh:

It is always good to avoid confrontation, whenever possible.

Better than getting one on a Monday . . . which also happened to be your birthday . . . from one of your top two schools 👎 But hey, at least I got to enjoy the weekend.

i have 15 schools i haven't heard from, at this point i don't really care interview or no interview, i'd like to hear from them. they were happy to take my money and forgot about my existence...🙁
