For anyone that interviewed or is familiar with the Temple ophthalmology program - why is (or was) there an open PGY-2 spot? Did someone leave because they didn't like the program or was it for other reasons? Just curious...

I'm curious too...I called soon after that spot opened and they said they needed someone for November 1, and I asked if they were screening board scores which the secretary said they probably were...so I never sent them an application since I'm sure they already have hundreds of better apps for that spot.

from what i heard, there was a resident who completed another residency (im?) prior to starting ophtho. he had a family and ultimately decided that ophtho residency wasn't what he was expecting and decided to leave.
