What's up with the COMP letter?

😕 I'm wondering if anyone else received a letter from COMP saying that their application was continuing to be reviewed and that a decision would be reached on January 30th, 2005. I interviewed back on 9/14 and am not sure why they chose to wait until January to reach a decision.

that sucks, waiting is the worst. during the interview they said they meet every wednesday and decide to accept, reject, or alternate and this letter would be sent out that friday. i have not heard that they utilize holds especially after they interviewed you so early. maybe they are holding cause you are something missing. did you take the aug mcat, that could hold it up for sure. i should be hearing next week, ill let you know how it goes.

Hey,
I interviewed at COMP on October 5th and got the same letter on October 15th. The interview went well, and everything in my application is complete. Do you think this is a "hold" letter? I'm trying to console myself by thinking that October is still early in the application cycle so the school simply wants to interview more competitive applicants before making a final decision. However, I see that some acceptances have already been sent out...so I'm getting freaked out a little. Anyone have comments on this issue? Did anyone else receive this letter? Please tell me its not just the two of us! 🙁

did either of you get a priority interview? they offered a interview before even sending me a secondary. i dont know if the people who got this type of interview are any different, but during the interview they told me the turn around should be at most 2 weeks and holds only occur if you are missing something. maybe you should call them.

Yes, I was also invited for a priority interview. I'll be sure to give them a call on Monday 😕
