Please, I am quite confused why everyone here seems to dislike it, and no one seems to be putting in a good word for it. Is it the large number of IMGs, the workload? They gave a list out of where the 2002 graduates were going, and it seemed everyone who wanted to get into fellowships got good programs, and some were even invited as hospitalists. Facilities great, research and teaching opportunities plentiful (new medical school opening up to give it more prestige), closed-book policy...I personally met some interns, who seemed quite happy, except that they found Cleveland boring. Just want to know more opinions...thanks in advance.

I suppose a lot of it had to do with gut feelings. I interviewed there and came out of it with negative vibes.. I can't really put a finger to it, just the overall impression.
And although cleveland is part of the problem, I also interviewed at case western and loved it, and would be ranking it high on my list.

anyone from ccf who could comment on the many negative comments?

I got the same negative vibe when I interviewed there for neurology. The institution has a good reputation but there was just something that didn't feel right. In the same way, my first choice for neuro and medicine felt like a fit for me. On paper, many of the programs seem similar, but some just seem to feel more right for the individual.

Hey, CCF residents, speak up!
