I bought some from allheart-- pretty reasonable. No side pocket on the pants though, which kinda sucks. It has a back pocket. It was a cotton polyester blend (around $10 a set + shipping).

There are some better (but more expensive ones). I think they are called gel scrubs or something like that.

I think S.C.R.U.B.S. are very comfortable, but find them rather expensive. My mom has made some of her own, and says the patterns aren't that difficult, so I will probably sew my own in the future.

the pairs i stole from my hospital

dickies are really nice scrubs and so are landau

I'm leaning towards getting some Dickies. Not sure what colors I want.

Any of you guys wear scrubs to class almost every day 😀?

Those kids usually deserve a beat down. Very few people wear scrubs to class. First years at pcom are not suppose (essentially not allowed) to wear scrubs the first semester since there is no way to tell if they are wearing the same scrubs to anatomy lab and then to the cafeteria. It has been emailed a few times to the students.

Though the best scrubs are always the ones you get when you rotate through a hospital as a student. you earned them

Well, not all schools operate in the same manner. For instance, at my school, there is a dress code, where wearing matching scrubs is one of the permitted outfits. Of course, you could also dress up and wear your white coat, but most people, for obvious reasons, choose scrubs. Also, not insignificantly, they are comfortable and easy.

I guess I'll wait on it then. I have to find out my schools dress code, but I can't imagine why people wouldn't want to go to class in professional PJs.

dickies "flip flops" (fold down waistband) and cherokee. cherokee comes in tall!! (nothin worse than dorky too-short scrubs) 😉 a lot of people i work with wear the urban scrubs too.

I liked the allheart ones just fine. And for us, it's against the dress code to wear scrubs anywhere but in the anatomy lab, never to lecture. And besides, unless you're going to be wearing different sets of scrubs to lecture and lab, or your OCD at washing them, you won't want to wear you scrubs to class.

I met someone that bought expensive baby phat scrubs... they looked good but I think you'll spend WAY to much money on them... but I may be wrong

I wanna buy one those college logo type scrubs 🙂

Haha yea I was thinking of getting one with my school logo on it too...but I realized I can get like 5 sets of scrubs for the price of one of those

cherokee.
hands down.

Anyone know of a brand of scrubs that comes in longer sizes? I worked at a hospital that issued me some with a top that was WAY too short for my liking.

I'm 6'4" but I'm built like a swimmer (long in the torso, not so much in the legs) so sometimes it is hard to find standardized stuff that fits right.

I have like four or five sets of Landau scrubs. Love them. They have an elastic waist as well as a draw string, plus a zipper in the front. Makes going to the bathroom very nice. The tops are reversible with a big chest pocket and the pants have cargo pockets on each leg with lots of room and a pocket on the back for your wallet with a button. I think I was getting sets from the place in town for around 40 bucks, and they fit awesome and arent thin and cheap feeling.
