UNLV but I'm not applying till 2007

UAB is easily my first choice. They have great facilities and brand new clinics (with plenty of chairs and a huge patient base). Both the faculty and the students there seemed really nice and everyone was very friendly and willing to answer any questions you had. Really the biggest thing that impressed me was that the students there actually like it...there's not all that many dental schools where you can ask a D2 if they like dental school and get a positive response.

Nova is my first choice right now... im not applying till 2007 though

UNLV cause I can get in as an in-stater. By the way, whoever said I needed to wait a year was wrong. I moved down last week and continue to work for the department store I had been working at in St. George, Utah. I just gave them a letter from my Manager that said I am transferring work to their Vegas store and...Kazoom, in January I will start getting in-state tuition and am already considered a "resident." Very easy process. The admissions people are cool too. I'm surprised more people don't do it this way. 😀

UMDNJ

Reasons:
Cost (Nj resident)
Where my family lives
Where my fiance lives and works (I go to school in Boston... he would move if I don't get into a NYC/NJ school of course!)
Know the faculty

- btw, I go to Tufts undergrad and if money and location was no object, I'd go there. They facilities are beautiful and they are so nice here....

My top choices are:

#1) UCSF = UPENN
#2) UCLA = UMD,
#3) Columbia = UCONN

My number 1 school would have to be Ohio State, eventhough Case has much better facilities, Ohio State is incredibly cheaper for an in-state resident! Go Buckeyes!!

Number one school would be whoever contacts me and tells me that I am accepted.

My school of choice is the University of Minnesota. The program they have is solid, and the students' scores on the boards are among the top. The cost for in-state students is fair 🙂 👍

Are you an Alabama resident? If not, what made you decide to tour UAB?

UPenn or Columbia

right now a toss up between UMKC and TEMPLE but will see how my NOVA interview goes.

Nope, I'm from Virginia but I knew a couple people who go there and they just couldn't stop saying good things about the school, so I applied and ended up getting an interview.

UConn=Pitt... dont know how to decide. 😎

Well with UoP granting me an interview at the end of January, and Arizona giving me the bird, I'd have to say UNLV or Creighton.

Why Creighton? I heard that the city is boring...how's the program?

Vegas baby, Vegas

UNLV or Oklahoma I will have to think long and hard if I get both.

So far, UCONN is my top choice.

University of Maryland wins my first choice hands down.

university of phoenix (it's an online school), they have a really good program, but i have heard that it is more of a research school, like columbia.

#1 UCLA=Harvard
#2 Columbia
#3 UPenn
#4 NYU

Depends on what you call boring. If you need big city life, you may not dig Creighton, but Omaha is not a small city either. If you need to go clubbing or bar hopping it might be lacking too. Other than that, it's a strong school and for Utah and Idaho applicants it's great becuase of a compact agreement they have (those states don't have schools of their own). If you go back to your home state to practice you get about 50% off tuition and so it ends up being very affordable (as far as dental school goes).

yeah, but then you would have to live in utah or idaho. i'd rather kill myself than be killed by a foolish utah driver

i have been living amongst the utards for 2 years now.... all i do is offend them. besides their bleached blond hair tips and cool 90's mustangs, they're not that scary of a bunch.

So I guess putting down those from Idaho is ok?! (Typical utardedness on display!)

touche' ... only meant that Utah appears to be very well represented among dents, haven't had the same experience with those from idaho, i'm sure they're out there. i have no connections to either (typical assumptardedness on display!).

My first choice: UCLA or UCSF either or....but landed at SC 😛

this would do better as a poll

OHSU-
Why?-(no order)
It is an older school (with new facilities soon to be under construction) with a great rep.
I love Portland, there is so much to do-Beach, Mountains, Camping Hiking, Fishing, Biking, Rock Climbing, River play, Seattle- its all within a couple of hours.
Their board pass rate is great, and they score well, too.
Their instructors are real, and tough.
The classes all seem to bond with each other, joke around and like the school.
They have a lot of speciality programs and they do their own lab work, (extra time, ha ha, can be used making fun little things out of spare gold..)
You can do round with the med. school for those interested in OMFS.
Cost is a factor as well.
You buy your own intruments, so you can get special tools/carvers if you want.
There are lots of patients to work on, and your friends/fam can request you.

I dunno man... 😳

One of my roommates is from Salt Lake. That guy is flat-out tough. He looks alot like Chuck Liddell. He could probably knock you out like the Iceman as well.

First choice = Arizona

1. taking the first boards after the first year
2. brand new everything
3. weather is a lot warmer than other areas I interviewed at
4. not as expensive as USC
5. students seem to really enjoy the program (one class at a time)
6. not too far from home
7. mesa seems like a place you could walk around in the evening and not get shot
8. they haven't rejected me yet

my choices:
1. UPenn or UF
2. U Pitt

My choices:

1. UPenn = Harvard
2. UConn

1. Columbia
2. North Carolina
3. Minnesota

uh okay, is that supposed to be a threat? if so then i definitely know a guy who could beat him up.... so there.

UNC

Great school, low cost for in-staters, great faculty, near family.
