Ok so i deleted my post. Since I haven't heard back from the school, I shouldn't have any info on my interview. Don't want to shoot myself in the foot even more 😀

I was identified by an adcom at an interview... they knew who CodeBlu was... stupid MDApps and SSD gave me away.

Hence why I removed it...

But yeah... they still accepted me. 🙂

Damn... you are not joking are you?

How did you react to that?

A friend was identified too. Due to visits at my profile l think they found me.

Hello to all the faculty in Texas.

My entire interview was 20 minutes long. It was full of generic questions and the interviewer was clicking through his emails pretty much the whole time, back to me. After a few questions he turned around suddenly and said, “Well, one thing I can tell is that you probably aren’t crazy. Do you plan on dropping out if we accept you?” I hesitated for a few seconds, and managed to get out, “No.” “Well, then we’re done here,” and I was led out of his office. That was it. I didn’t even get to ask him any questions. And it was a school with only one interview. I figured I had blown it somehow. 20 minutes?! But then I got accepted. Another school I had a great interview, nearly an hour and a half and talked about all sorts of things. At the end the interviewer said something like, “Obviously I can’t offer you acceptance right now, but I would be very hopeful if I were you and maybe we’ll see each other in September.” And you know what; rejected! Moral of the story is, you can never tell until you get that letter in the mail.

I was ID'ed from sdn by someone in the office of admissions, so not technically an adcom member, but I got in to the school.

I had the same thing happen to me. The great interview and then no acceptance.

My worst interview that still led to an acceptance... I may have insinuated that a certain group of medically relevant people behaved in a less than flattering way. Corrected myself right after and recognized that I was being insensitive. Was my first interview this cycle if that's any excuse. Pretty nervous. Got in anyway.

Non-trad applicant whose interviewer told me, "you're going to have a hard time convincing people that you want to do medicine."

Result: accepted

Interviewer: "So, tell me, what do you think is a major health concern in modern society?"

Me: "Diarrhea."

Accepted.

What I'm wondering is, did you post something like "I can't wait for my interview at X school on 10/19/2011 at 10:15am! I'm flying all the way from California and I have a big mole on my neck and a lazy eye that you can't miss!"

Ahahaha proof that it does happen!!!!! I KNEW IT!

It was gut wrenching.

Damn... you are not joking are you?

Nope, not joking. I sort of smiled, my heart was in my throat... my testicles shriveled up and I wanted to die. Then I said, ORLY (but in a normal way, like oh really...........) long pause. Then she got the hint, winked and moved on with the conversation.

Same thing pretty much. Glad we both got in.

Hahahaha

Got. There. Late.

No kidding. My favorite school, traffic was way worse than I planned for, I parked in the wrong garage and hoofed it all the way across campus to make it late to the welcome speech/ orientation. After the tour, I was so excited by every thing I'd seen that I felt like I chattered and rambled through my end of the day interview. I thought I'd blown it for sure, but I didn't, thank heavens. 🙂

I had a dream that there was obstacles blocking me from getting to an interview at University of Toronto on time...

I had to fight through a mob, tear gas, and a troll WTF? A real live troll....
