Is it okay to re-state most of your experiences and motives from your primary and secondary applications?

Obviously, I'm not going to memorize paragraphs from my primary and secondary but I would like to reference many of them mainly wehn answering Why medicine, Why DO

In my opinion, you should always assume that your interviewer has not read your personal statements or essays. Even if the interview is open file, some interviewers may not have had the chance to read your writings because they are busy. However, if they look bored, or seem like they are trying to move the conversation along, or if you can sense that they HAVE read your essays, do your best to keep the conversation flowing and be able to elaborate more on your personal statements and talk about more specific experiences or anecdotes.

TLDR: Yes, it is okay to restate what you have written in your applications.
