when applying to med school does it matter if I have pass/fail on non required classes?

I have extra space to take classes that are not reuqired, but I dont want to affect my GPA. will it matter for when I apply for med school if i have pass/ no pass on non required classes ?

I'd consider that to be one per term, but your mileage may vary by who you ask.

I took several courses P/F because they were 1 hr seminars that were only available P/F. I also took a 3 hr CS course P/F as a senior. I suppose the schools that have offered me IIs so far didn’t mind.
