also does anyone have an idea of what the calandar is liek there menaing long breaks such as xmas and thanksgiving etc

the schedual is standerd academia with an early start in Aug. couple weeks off in Dec and a week off in Apr. there is about 6 weeks between 1st and 2nd year and a smattering of "reading days" here and there (vis. jewish holidays). good luck
