When do DO schools look at the primary app?

Do they look at the primary app once they get it or once an applicant is fully complete?
I'm a bit conflicted on when to send my app in. I know with AACOMAS we can edit/add activities. I'm doing a lab internship this summer and was thinking about adding that to my activities once I'm done. But I don't want to send in AACOMAS now if they'll look at it now and never in the future.

It is in your best interest to send in the application now as long as you meet the minimum requirements or are about to. If you wait a few months, you will be really behind. Some of the schools fill up fast. The longer you wait, the tougher it will be. I told the schools I had classes in progress in both the AACOMAS and the secondaries. Once I completed the extra classes, I was able to email the unofficial transcripts to the admissions offices and they accepted them without any issue.
