I graduated in 2022 and am going on my 3rd gap year. I applied to med schools for the 2nd time this summer? How long do my prereqs last? Do I need to retake any classes, since my freshman year classes are 6 years ago?

No need to retake the prereqs. There are a few med schools which will place a 10-year limit

Different schools have different requirements regarding pre reqs and whether or not they expire and, if so, when. The school website should list this info. Even then, there’s often some flexibility depending on what you’ve been doing in the meantime. ie if still heavily engaged in science, you’ll likely have some wiggle room.

I got multiple DO interviews and 2 acceptances with 6-8 year old prereqs.

Some schools do explicitly mention this on their site if there is a limit.
