When do we go to C4?

Do they schedule it during elective rotations? I'm assuming they wouldn't send us during the ward rotations (IM). And can it be any time of year or do they try to get us there in the fall?

Classes are held from September through May, and they can send you there in any rotation (elective, ward, unit), though PDs will claim that no one will be scheduled for C4 during a unit month (which is not entirely accurate). It is really not that bad, though Texas can get cold in the winter.

I got screwed w/C4, they scheduled it during my derm rotation!

I have been told that it is no longer required for Air Force. My year was the first year they stopped sending people during residency.
