I am taking the oral boards in the fall and had heard that it wasn't until after you are board certified that you need to start with CME's?

After you're board certified is when you really need the credits, for both MOCA and license renewal.

Don't forget that when you get your letter from the ABA after passing your oral exam, the AMA will give you 60 cat 1 credits for a $30 processing fee.
