If you recieve student loans as an undergrad, do you have to begin repayment immediately upon graduating from your undergrad institution? Or, can one defer repayment until graduation from med school?
It would depend on the type of loan. If it is a Stafford loan (the standard Federal loan) then, yes, you can defer repayment until after medical school. Depending on the type of Stafforfd loan, interest may accrue while you are in medical school.
