Navy When does the Navy HSCP Scholarship start?

I'm a current M1 student applying for the Navy HSCP Scholarship. I believe their board convenes around March and makes decisions in April or May (or so I've heard). If I am accepted, would I be in the program immediately as an M1 or do I wait until the start of the next academic year as an M2?
