When going in for test day, do you feel like you could/should have done more? Like maybe studied deeper on a certain subject, or maybe done more PAT practice, or more Reading practice, or watched Chads vids again, or ran through Destroyer a couple more times etc etc.....or do you guys mostly feel like you did everything you planned to and are ready?

I could have (should have) done so much more! More chad's, completed Destroyer, taken ochm2, and on and on. I rushed it. It's all behind me now. But I caution against going in unprepared. You only want to take
it once. I think most will go in with doubts and feel like they're unprepared. But if you know you're grossly unprepared, don't do it.

im scheduled for june 8 but i still dont know if ill get in EVERYTHING i want to by then...but then again im thinking everyone probably feels like theres some more they could have done? or am i wrong on this.....not really referring to "grossly unprepared," but more like maybe little extra things that u feel you should have done

i mostly dont think im going to finish math destroyer enough times...maybe just once, HOPEFULLY twice but i doubt it....im going through destroyer QR pretty deeply though

I'm sure most go in feeling like they could do more. You'd have to be a really confident person to walk in there feeling like you're prepared for bio. You could study forever and there will always be more you can do. But I'm talking feeling you're unprepared and knowing you're unprepared.

Just prioritize where you spend your time with the time you have left.

I think most would agree that you'll feel like you could/should have done more, but how else are you supposed to feel? There's a bunch of information to study - you're not going to to master every area of each subject. I certainly felt like I could have studied certain things more but in the end you just have to be confident in what you learned. I think the best thing that anyone could do to prepare is to do practice problems and timed full length practice tests; of course, after reviewing the info first.

At the start of my studies I studied between 8-11hrs and then nearing the end I studied for about 6hrs everyday. I was starting to get a little burned out, but I definitely made sure that I took so breaks during the week. For instance, on sundays I did no studying...at all.

Chad's videos - I only watched those once BUT I took very good/detailed notes. And then I studied the notes a lot.

Destroyer - I tried to do as many as I could; I took the amount of days that I had left to study before the DAT and divided that into the number of practice problems - that way I would know how many practice problems (per subject) that I would do a day.

I, along with EVERYONE that I talked to, felt that I could have done more!! They design the test so that we can never know everything on it. But, I guarantee you know so much more than you think you do. Just trust in your training...because you weren't studying for the DAT, you were training. Like a marathon runner. Just trust!! 🙂

thanks for the responses...i initially pushed my date from may 23 --> june 8 and that was probably necessary..i contemplated changing from june 8 maybe for another week or 2 b/c i thought "hey i could do math destroyer and some extra bio in that time" but its probably enough....i guess with that mentality i would be delaying every week cuz u can always add more and more bio, and probably math too lol

Yup. There comes a time when you just gotta do it. I knew a guy who took a semester off to only study for the DAT and was planning for an August
test date. He didn't take it. 8 months dedicated to studying with no school or job is silly. It freaks some people out so badly that it paralyzes them.

I just took my test yesterday and did OK, what I was expecting.

I was also like you, wanting to switch my date further back, but it comes a point where you just want to take it and get it over with before forgetting material in other subjects.

You know your stuff and trust yourself that you know the material. I got hyped about how hard the DAT was and it turned out to be better than expected and there was no reason to be as nervous as you are now.

You've been studying for this test for quite some time and you know your stuff, just have confidence in yourself.

i just wanted to make sure...i guess theres always SOMETHING more that could have been done or practiced etc right? i gotta stop freaking out and take it day by day lol
