When is it too late for D.O.

I just got my mcat. It's a 504. However, it will take 3-4 weeks for me to get a D.O. Letter of Recommendation and 2-3 for my committee letter. Should I submit all my apps or wait for the letter of reccomendation

Also, what is considered early and late for d.o. applications?

September/October is still fine for DO, you'll be fine.

Some will send out secondaries without the LOR, but none will do interview invites.

I sent my primary in after Sept 4th, fwiw.

I finished my secondary for the school I'm attending in December, now I'm an MS3. YMMV

You should get most secondary invites but some schools require a DO LOR (or at least an MD letter), and a committee letter. So until you have both of those submitted, your secondary application won’t be considered ‘complete’ in their system to review for an interview invite.

Submit it as early as you can, but if you have everything in by mid November you should be fine.

Late is after T-giving. Anytime before that is fine.

Most say the will not mark you complete until they receive all application materials, so if a LOR is required they pry won’t

As with everything medical school, earlier is better.

However, "late" is considered roundabouts November. That's not to say you won't get in, just that your chances are going to start diminishing considerably.
