When is the latest you would take the DAT? I know that different dental schools have different deadlines, but when would be the latest for the majority of the schools? September??

Also, during what months do dental schools interview?

I would take it no later than June. My Interviews began at the first of August. Most private schools start earlier than state schools.

I took it on Aug. 28 and have 3 interviews, and expecting one from my state school. So I assume that Aug-Sept. is O.K.

I took mine on Aug. 17th, and I have 10 interviews. Just remember to submit your AADSAS app and have your transcripts and LORs in before you take the DAT (ideally submit on/before June 1). That gets the ball rolling a lot quicker, so that you can take the DAT a bit later.

Do I need to have physics done before I apply and interview? I am planning on taking it during my interviews.

I am planning on taking ochem during the summer (finishing in mid-july) and then studying until mid-august for the dat and then taking it.

Does that sound far-fetched?

No, just make sure you have it down under the Planned/In Progress section for coursework.
