Hey guys, been lurking for a bit now and figured I'd post. Trying not to sound neurotic but rather curious. I've received an acceptance at a DO school and have interviewed 3 DO schools total. Was wondering when I should genuinely be worried about getting an interview at an MD school if I'm lucky enough (even though I'm very excited and grateful about DO as well).

Stats are sGPA=3.85 and cGPA= 3.81, 508, Chem major, RI resident (no instate love), EC's (500+ research hours w/ posters and possibly a future pub), tutoring, clinical and nonclinical hours total to about 300 ish hours (hospice, hospital work with younger volunteers), archery. 100 hours of shadowing with 8 docs. Thanks for the help guys.

Your stats seem pretty good, but I do think it depends on the schools you've applied to. If you applied to schools that match your stats, then I agree that you shouldn't be too worried about not getting an interview until late November through mid-December. But if you only applied to schools above your MCAT/GPA, then you're likely not to get an interview until potentially January. But the good news is you're going to be a doctor, so congrats on the acceptance! 😀

Thank you- I applied to MD schools with an MCAT at most a 512, ranging from 508-512. Appreciate the advice!

Wow! This is the first time I’ve seen a cgpa lower than a sgpa.

my GPA is a 3.7, MCAT 497, Bio major and still got an interview at my MD state school. It all depends on where you applied.
