Hey everyone...

I have a 3.11 GPA (with somewhat of an upward trend...3.23 science) and a 27P MCAT. I have good extra curriculars and strong rec. letters.

I will be applying to around 14 schools as I should be with rather low numbers. I was wondering if I should apply AS SOON as the cycle starts...or does it really matter? I heard that adcoms don't start doing anything with apps till about october. I don't know, any insight would be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

P.S. anyone who got in with these stats let me know!!!!! AIM: Dackle02

Always apply as oon as possible. Your GPA isn't wonderful, but your MCAT is pretty good. Apply as soon as AACOM opens.. ! 😛

Thanks JelliBelli...what were your stats if you don't mind me asking??? And how early did you apply?

Similar. MCAT 29, but aacomas GPA was just below 3.0 I think. It was actually a little lower than amcas due to how a school puts failed courses from 20 years ago on the transcript.

GPA of 3.0 is key for many schools. I'd say you're in pretty good shape. Early application is pretty important.
