When to apply?

I will hopefully be starting a MS program next fall and in the mean time I will be doing an informal post-bac. I was wondering when do most people get accepted to med school, during or after they have completed the MS program? My question is if i should apply next cycle or wait to I finish the MS program and then apply? THANKS
