Please excuse me if this is a classic neurotic pre med question.

I was complete at most of my top schools very late in August (with some stretching to early-mid September based on how slow they were at marking me complete... and at one school not complete till 3 days ago in spite of submitting in August!!!... but I digress) and Ive only heard back from 4 thus far. (3 II and 1 rejection).

So for schools like Harvard, NYU, Columbia, or even Temple, Drexel, Jefferson, and NYMC, is this >1 month silent period a reason to lose hope at these schools, or is it more likely that they haven't reviewed my application yet?

I know that stats aren't everything, but given my stats (3.8 and a 37) I would be pretty surprised to not get interviews from the latter group of schools...

What do you guys think?

This shtick is played out. And on that rare chance that you're serious, I am pretty certain there are people who will hate you for making this thread.

There are people who have been complete for 2+ months and still have no IIs. Calm your tits, especially with your stats

I am a fellow applicant so I understand where you are coming from. I think that since you were complete a little later that many schools have not gotten to your file. But we're not adcom members so what we think doesn't matter.. As you said, with your stats I would be surprised if you don't get interviews. I'm also terribly anxious haha. Let's go through this!!

I've been complete at Temple and Jefferson since late July and still haven't heard from them yet. Especially at these two schools, the consistently get over 10k applications every year so it takes them a while to review everyone. Just be patient - I'm sure you'll get more invites in the coming months.

Thanks guys... yeah I figured I may get flamed for that one (Note the introductory apology)... but this whole process kinda makes you abandon logic and feel so anxious.

Sorry if this was a worthless thread

I 😍 Jenny

But for real...bro chill. There are people who were complete in July and August just getting IIs to Harvard. You're fine...3 IIs is nothing to sneeze at

It's normal to have massive waits at some schools. I still have a couple schools that I haven't heard from and I applied earlier than you. Just hang in there, a lot of people have been waiting far longer and will probably continue to wait.
