I just received word that I am able to know schedule for my Comlex 2 PE for next year and wondering if anyone had any advice on when a good time to take it would be as well as the comlex 2 written exam. I heard the PE fills up quickly so I thought it might be in my best interest to get moving on this one. Thanks!

I would first check with your school to see if there are any deadlines. At PCOM we have to have passed the written portion by february 1st. We have to have a passing grade on the PE before we graduate otherwise they wont give you a diploma and then you are screwed because it will delay the start of your residency.

Most of my friends have taken them from May-about 2 weeks ago was the most recent one I heard for either of them. I would try to schedule it soon!

Schedule it as early as humanly possible since the dates get filled up super quick with not only first timers, but also retreads.
This could have easily been avoided by opening another testing site, or even more easy, ABOLISH THE ENTIRE ****!NG TEST IN GENERAL!

I say schedule it early. There is nothing about 4th year that will prepare you any more for it. So, just schedule it sometime after you've had an outpatient family med rotation. I took it in early August a week after the written exam. I thought that worked out fine, but I think the earlier the better just to get it over with.

I am on my third year and trying to take it during my 3rd year.

My Family Med rotation is in September, 2014
My General internal medicine is in April, 2015.

People say take it after FM or IM rotation...I feel like September is way too early for me and April sounds kinda late and I want to study for step 2 CK by that time.

When is everyone taking their COMLEX
