When to send transcripts to AMCAS?

Hi

I am applying this June. I noticed on the AAMC website that "AMCAS is currently processing transcripts that were received on January 28, 2011." Does this mean I can start sending them my transcripts now? I graduated last year, so I have all my grades in from undergrad on my transcript.

How will I know when AMCAS receives my transcripts?

You can start sending them in May for this June's cycle.

Because AMCAS is still on this year's cycle.

I'm not sure when it closes for the year, but it will open for the fall 2012 cycle in May. Sending in your transcripts now would do nothing. They wouldn't even know what to do with them since you haven't submitted an app.
