Unfortunately my gpa is not adequate to apply to American medical schools, so I am going to be going the Caribbean route. I need some advice though on when the best time besides Fall would be to start. I have the option to start in January or May '08. My question is if I start in May would I be able to start my residency in 2011 since the program is only 3 1/2 years, or would I be safer to start in Jan? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Moving to Caribbean Medical School Forum so that students who attend these schools can answer question.

I would suggest January (because all of the schools start in Jan) but not all in May (i.e. SGU).

Smaller classes and less fresh-off-the-boat-US-rejects to have to deal with. Their inflated ego and sense of entitlement makes my online personality seem like Ghandi.
