step one about 6 months away... what does anyone have to stay about starting to do the 2000+ qbank questions sometime in Feb or march? Has anyone started that early and if so, did it help? im guessing if you start that early, u'll get to see all the questions at least twice

3-4 months ahead of time is way too early for Qbank. One of the best ways to use Qbank is to test your knowledge and evaluate your weaknesses. Qbank questions are not like real USMLE questions and you can go through the entire 2000+ database and not see a single one of those questions on the real exam.

1-1.5 months ahead of time is a better time frame.

Actually, Jaded, I disagree. I had several questions on Step 1 that were verbatim what was in Q-bank. BUt I do agree in using it to test your knowledge - at least if your pride hangs onto the percentage right that you got. Otherwise, the explanations are pretty darned good, and I learned a lot. I'd start Q-bank in April.
