I am taking the boards mid-May, and was wondering when I should start using QBank? I don't know if I should be using it along with my classes, or just wait until I start reviewing for boards and then do them in conjunction with what I"m studying that day?

IM starting Qbank in the 3rd week of march, hoping to finish it by june 21, so that will give me around 3 months. that will allow me to review a decent amount of Anatomy, physio, pharm, path and micro b4 then so i wont be comlpetely kicked around by qbank.

I would say get the 3-month subscription 3 months before your test. By this time you should have about covered everything once and Qbank will fill in some gaps. If you think about it that's only about 175 questions a week or 25 questions a day.

I started mine already, and I sit for the exam on June 16th. Not too many like that idea, but I feel that I learn from questions. So I do random questions everyday (like 15 or so) from the systems that we have already covered this year in our courses, then as my course exam time approaches, I do more questions focused on that subject - for me now it's renal.

I may run out of questions at some point, but I will just go to another source and buy more.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do; go slay the beast.

Here in Texas, we get the Kaplan Qbank at the beginning of our second year. We have it for the entire acadmic year. Many of us work thru it with the blocks that we take. I've been working on it since September, and will take COMLEX and USMLE I in June.
