When to stop applying for schools?

Hey guys! I got verified late July, and I've slowly been submitting secondaries (with half submitted before August, and the rest now). I'm complete at about 25 schools, and waiting on secondaries for 2 more (27).

I'm low income, so I want to maximize my chances at not having to take out private loans past the 200k federal limit. I've received 1 interview so far, and I just keep on having "what if" thoughts where I want to add more schools to have a better chance at need-based aid. I did have a pretty top-heavy application, but they also just give more aid.

When should you know that enough is enough, and to enjoy my senior year?

LM 78-79 btw.

Depends on your school list and exact profile (and if you have "friendly" state schools). About 30 is likely good enough. If you have applied already to plenty of schools known for being more generous with aid, there is likely not much benefit from adding a couple random other ones.

my state only has 1 med school. but i think it is very IS friendly, and it is also where my interview is. Do you know if Boston University or Dartmouth are known for good aid? Those are the only two other schools i also wanted to apply to, but i haven't heard much about their aid

There have been some reports that Dartmouth has provided some significant aid to students. I do not recall Boston being known for good aid.
