Hello,

I am on the quarter system and I don't receive my Spring grades until mid-June. When I apply, should I wait until I get my spring grades to submit? Or should I submit it as soon as possible and update the grades later?

Mid-June is still early...You should wait for these grades.

I am also wondering this, I'm also on the quarter system.
I did a search and found that even if you wait till mid June, it will take some time for them to verify your app, possibly even until july...so skipping out on the spring grades would be best?
I hope someone else can weigh in on this

I submitted early, and got in the queue to be verified. Once my last transcript showed up in mid-June then my application was already complete so it jumped to the head of the stack.

I do not suggest waiting for the transcript to be sent to verify, then you will be on the bottom of the stack and it will take a while to verify.

Mid June is still early. I was in the first groups to be interviewed at several schools, and I had two acceptances by the end of October, and all three acceptances by the end of November. I then canceled all my other interviews.

I'm going to have to agree with this. Submit the app and get verified as soon as possible (i.e. day 1). Just mark your current classes as in progress, and submit an updated transcript when you get it.

This of course is contingent on you being above cutoffs. As long as your current GPAs are above a 3.0, you should do what dsoz and I said.

I was contemplating this same thing but then I looked on my school's website and it said that spring grades will take about 2-3 weeks after the end of the quarter to be placed on my official transcript. That means I couldn't even send them until beginning of July and so I wouldn't be verified until like August. I would check to make sure your grades appear on you official transcript right after the quarter ends. If they don't get posted right away then definitely don't wait.

Seems like the consensus is to get it submitted early and then update them as soon as my grades become available. Thanks everyone!

But in reality, end of June compared to beginning of June is going to likely make zero difference considering most schools don't even start sending secondaries until early/mid July.

This is true, but my only concern would be the queue. Obviously the queue for verification on the first day will be shorter than the middle of June, which might even mean a longer delay for the verified app.
