When to take Step 2 CK with ~250 step 1?

I got ~250 on Step 1. I have planned away rotations in both August and September. Should I take CK before those aways or after those aways sometime in October? I understand I don't "need" to take CK because I did decently well on Step 1, but I'm wondering what advice you guys have.
 
As long as it's done by November. However, your knowledge atrophies as you approach November. Personally took mine in July.
