When will submission be too late?

hey y'all I am about to send my last secondary (Wake Forest) after doing some brief proof-reading tomorrow. My question is that I am thinking of finishing two more secondaries but since school has started and I will midterms in 2 weeks, I feel it will be a hassle sending out secondaries because I will mainly be writing them on weekends. I was wondering what was considered too late to submit on SDN? I have looked through and although the general consensus is anytime after the first week of September, some of SDN and some of my friends have said that middle to late September is considered the very latest to be considered competitive. What say you all?
