Did you even bother to read the article I referenced which clearly shows that URMs perform poorly in medical school? I am not a troll, I am a medical student, and one who desrves to be where I am. 😡

I think the fact that you equate that study to "URMs perform poorly in medical school" shows you aren't the smartest kid on the block. That being said, I suggest no one feeds the troll before a moderator shuts this down.

It is frightening that you are a medical student and would post these generalities. The article also said that Asians have the lowest graduation rate at only 63%. Ha ha ha. Don't believe everything you read troll.

the weighted MCAT scores that they use for their comparisons include doubling the writing sample score and adding it to the PS, VR, BS subset scores... wtf ? Clearly someone doesn't know the first thing about med school admissions

CEOUSA, the group behind this study, is an extreme right-wing think tank linked to and cited by such progressive informers as Fox News, RightWeb, PNAC, Rush Limbaugh, etc...the usual suspects. This study is completely moot...there is no way it was done with even the remotest of ethical standards and should be rejected as extremely biased.

I skimmed. I could have easily debunked the article, but everyone else is doing that already. 😉

They are less qualified?

Discuss.

Hi there,
When you look at Ben Carson, M.D. Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, do you think he is less qualified? When you look at Edward Cornwell, III, M.D. Chief of Trauma Surgery at Johns Hopkins, do you think he is less qualified?

As long as this thread stays civil, it will stay open. But, haven't you folks beat this one to death already?
