Where Are All the Non-Science Majors/Double Majors?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Just wondering... aren't most of those covered in your bio major? Gen. Chem, O. Chem, Physics, Calc and of course biology were all part of our bio major.

Calc and physics aren't covered in a BA in Biology. They might be part of a BS in Bio, though, I don't know. Orgo's only there as a pre-req for biochem.

B.S. in Business Administration and B.A. in Professional Writing

majors: biology and philosophy
minors: biochemistry, chemistry and history

BS in Biology, BS Accounting (hence the username).
I am the only Accounting major in this thread. Woot!

B.S. Math
M.S. Math
Ph.D. Math

Hey, what's the difference between a PhD in math and a large pizza???

The pizza can actually feed a family!

BA's: Economics and Psychology
Minor: Astronomy

Seriously, I loved my astro classes because they really kept the big picture in the back of my mind (different classes do it for different people). It's hard to stay stressed when you remember we're all just sitting on a tiny blue speck.

B.S. Math
M.S. Math
Ph.D. Math

What branch of math?

BA in Music. Minor in Mathematics, and unofficial minor in Italian. Never took a single science class until two-years after I graduated.

Biochemistry and Political Science

Minor: ???? More decisions? Huh?

I have bachelors in Biology and Ancient History, and a minor in Computer Science. I also have a Masters of Public Health.

biology
minor-maybe spanish, if i feel like continuing that.

BS in Biology, BS Accounting (hence the username).

B.A. Violin, B.S. Biochem
Working on M.A. Violin Performance

B.A. - Political Science
B.A. - Molecular and Cell Biology (Why its a B.A? I have no idea).

B.S. or B.A. in Biology & Business Administration.

Music and German.

I added the German major b/c I decided I want to live in Germany next year. Unfortunately, I won't be able to finish my pre-reqs, so I'll need another year of classes before I can apply to med schools.

Oooh! You're like me! Except I did music and French. And yeah, I needed extra time, too.

Yay! I'm not the only idiot that was suckered into getting multiple degrees!

B.S. Mathematics
B.A. Economics
Working on my M.S. in Neuroscience - I figure if I get enough letters after my name, they won't have time to get to my GPA on my applications.

*ahem* Yes. Extra letters should totally add a couple of GPA points, right? 😉

major & minor: Biochemistry and philosophy

B.S. in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in History (military/political emphasis)

Major: Psychology.

But with all the chem classes I've taken, I may as well have declared a biochem minor...

.

Probably will end up with enough Women's Studies for a minor.

say what?! How do you possibly find time for that! Im having trouble juggling two college level math classes chemistry and a humanities class! haha😱

I don't have the option of being a non-science major. Try that on for size.

Hahaha. I know exactly what you're talking about. Actually, I don't even have the option of just ONE science major. I had to double major: Physics and neuroscience.

B.A.: Spanish
Minor: Bio

Wanted to major in theater, but it would have added an extra year.

Mine is the opposite of yours, Major in Bio and minor in spanish plus another minor in chemistry. Absolutely LOVE spanish. 😍

major: Bio and Chemistry
minor: geology

B.A. in Psychology (Behavioral Neuroscience track).

B.S. in Athletic Training with a minor in Music (vocal performance)

I've just made up my mind to take 5 years and come out with a:
BA in Spanish
and
BS in Biology (with Chemistry minor)

My first BA was English. The one I'm completing now is Liberal Studies. I'd much rather major in something I genuinely enjoy than try to do chemistry or something and be bored just because of the misguided belief that will get me into med school.

Ha. It's funny that you should say that, because I'm a double major in English (concentration in composition) and Chemistry

Double Major: Biology/Chemistry (Pre-Med Option)
Minors: Psychology/Spanish
Honor's Program too!

BS with a double major in Linguistics (honors) and Biochem, Psych minor.

B.S. Biochemistry
B.A. History

The history was the best decision of my college career.

They are at my school. We only have a BA in bio, but calc and physics are required courses.
