I have been watching youtube videos on layers of the epidermis and realised that a lot of them say different things!!

One video said that keratinocytes are in the stratum basale/germinativum (the deepest epidermal layer) whereas another video said that kertinocytes are predominantly in the stratum corneum (the most artificial layer). This also go for Langerhan Cells, one said Stratum basal and another said stratum spinosum.

Does anyone know which is correct?

Oh, and to add on to this. Merkel cells, in stratum basal, is related to sensation of touch, what about the nerves in the dermis? If they said which layer is responsible for touch sensation what would be the best answer?

Thank you advance!
