I'm a US/IMG, and I wish to apply to PM&R, but which are the programs more IMG friendly? 😕

They have older records as well. Some states have 1 program per state so it is easier to figure out what program took US IMG etc. New York programs have been historically IMG friendly. For example 14/65 NY spots were filled by IMG in last years match. It is getting increasingly competitive for IMGs because DO's are applying to PM&R in increasing numbers.
Last year 52 out of the 355 went to IMG's (Results and Data: 2008 Main Residency Match) and 99 were DO's compared to 75 DO's in 2007. Overall though ever year for the last 5-7 years 50 or so IMGs match into PM&R and they are usually the same programs. I can tell you about Chicago. I am not sure if RIC has ever accepted a IMG. Loyola used to but not in the last 5 years. Same goes with RUSH who had a few IMGs 5 years ago. Marianjoy is probably the most IMG friendly. Schwab has historically accepted IMGs but there were none in the last 2 matches. I am sure people in NY can give you more valuable info about the program there.

In a few years, things across all specialities will get more competitive. As US MD school expand and more DO schools start, there will be more and more students trying to match without much expansion in US residency programs.
