Where are there sample PS's?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I once read the PS of an orthodontic resident when I was getting ready to apply to residency my senior year in dental school.

Then I got one of the books similar to what busupshot posted from the library and found the majority of the essay word-for-word in the book.

Conclusion: Apparently writing your own essay is for suckers.

Dang I wish I could have been on that adcom.

Good luck. Several of these "essay that work for med school/grad school" books can be found in your library so you can read them and get an idea for what to write (and hopefully not lift it and call it your own).

I had no idea there were these books out there.. but isnt there some way the schools can find out if your PS was just copied from one of these books?!

I read the couple essays on www.essayedge.com before I got started on my PS. It just helped to see what kind of stuff they put in their essay and how it flowed.

I didn't put a ton of my personal achievements in mine, just because its already listed in my application.

Good Luck!!!!! 🙂

I am having a REALLY hard time putting together my PS.. its not that I dont know what to write, its that I dont know how to put it all together to make it sound very professional. Does the essayedge.com editing really work? Has anyone tried it personally?
