where are you staying while interviewing at MGH?

Hi guys,

I have an interview at MGH IHP on February 4 and since I'm going to fly in from California (I really wish they didn't have to start at 8am!!) I have to find a place to stay for 1 night - do any of you have any idea about reasonably-cheap-but-not-cockroach-infested 🙂 hotels in the vicinity? Looking at the MGH shuttle schedule it also appears that the only way to get there by 8am on a Saturday is to take a cab so distance is an issue...

I was actually just wondering the same thing because I am coming from Ohio and am interviewing the 3rd. They have a link on their website with nearby accomadations.

Do you have AAA? I looked up rates for a few hotels... The Residence Inn is $143/night with AAA and the Constitution Inn is $107/night with AAA and it is only 1 block from campus so you could walk if you scope it out the night before.

I interviewed there last year and statyed at the Constiution Inn. It's literally a 5 minute walk to the building where the interviews are held. I believe it's something like $105/night. It's pretty nice too.

Hey all! I hope you're looking forward to interviews coming up! The options you guys have above are good. I just wanted to let you know that school is definitely walkable from North Station, so really, any hotel with access to public transportation would work. Also, taxis are not too crazy expensive either. I know some people stayed at the La Quinta in Somerville and just took a cab. Just something to keep in mind!
