Ever think that maybe medicine is where you want to go but it might not be the place you're SUPPOSED to be? All this pain and misery and then you find out medicine is not for you? Or destiny sweeps you to another field? Or you have that nagging feeling that while you love medicine and can do medicine, maybe there's something else that's more suited for you? Eh.

I really like Investment banking and entrepreneurship. But I feel I need stability at the moment. Medicine offers good pay and great challenges. More importantly, it is very interesting.

I might in the future get into investments or something related to medical side of bio/nano techonology
Chill, we all have second thoughts

TTSD, I had the exact same thoughts today. Often times I question whether I truly want to become a doctor or if my subconcious is telling my concious this is what I want to do with my life. Though I am not a mindless puppet to my parents, their influence over my life is still huge and I wonder if I want to be a doctor to make them happy (e.g. Korean parents).

I know deep down inside, there are definitely other things I could be doing that would make me just as happy or happier than medicine...but then othertimes I wonder if being a doctor is the most fulfilling thing available to me.

I guess we'll have to wait and find out...for goodness sakes, I'm not even applying anytime soon.

I'm supposed to be famous, leaving the hard stuff for all those trying to get into med school.... 😛
