Where do derms mostly practice?

From what I've seen, it's more common for derms to practice in private groups. I know our hospital doesn't have a derm department but they can contact private groups should patients need a derm consult.

Virtually always PP. But if you're interviewing for a spot, you would be advised to mention academics. I know, I know, but everyone else does and it's one of those unspoken things.

Just FYI, "hospital-based" is not synonymous with academics. The majority of private practice groups are affiliated with hospitals.
