I tend to study better in the library. I try to find some libraries around long Island (Great Neck, Manhasset) but can't find one that goes until like midnight and is quiet. Where do you study and do anyone know a good place to study (quiet, and longer hours)? :meanie:

In the middle of traffic on the Brooklyn bridge during rushhour. AND blindfolded. then id be prepared for any circumstance.
Just kidding 🙂

library worked very well with me. occasionally I studied in the student center because having students around me also worked, kept my concentration and drive to study, because being alone 10 hours a day 7 days a week studying mcats in the library, for some reason, didnt keep me motivated. 😀

long island UNITE! haha. yeah the one thing I miss about school is the 24 hr library. wait let me rephrase that so I don't sound like a loser. the one thing i miss about school related to study habits is the 24 hr library. hahaha.

For some reason I can't really study at home, and the libraries around here aren't open really late. When i get back to school I'll definitely be studying in the library.

I used to be able to study in a coffee shoppe but it eventually became too distracting. Now, I am only able to fully get my mojo going in a library without a laptop in front of me. Luckily, there are 24h libraries and study areas available most of the time.

Then there is always the 24h Tim Hortons with super ear plugs.

24hr libraries? You're lucky. I don't think we have any in TO other than the school libraries but in the summer, the hours are cut down...damn summer hours.

For the April MCAT I studied at the Starbucks 3 blocks from my house! They had these comfy couch chair thingies next to a real fireplace. What more does a girl need? It got so that I got free coffee and lattes almost daily 😀
Heck, they'd close up at ten and let me stay while they cleaned up, it was awesome. Libraries? I find they are too cold and hard and they make me hibernate...but whatever floats all your boats!

I study at the library, 24/7 study hall but usually leave at 10 or 10'30 latest, 9-10 hours a day is enough.

Sometimes I get lazy on weekends and dont' go, that wastes the whole day -- gotta get going on weekends now.

Holy crap dude! That's a lot of studying - kudos to you!

Are others investing this much time? I started in May - as in got my books out and did a few chapters here and there... but I haven't really been doing much. I was thinking of buckling down this week and by that I was thinking 4-5 hours a day would be pretty good! But man, you guys are hard core!
