If you don't mind me asking...what were they asking or what did they need from you? Sounds like you are doing better than me as I haven't heard anything from them...

Hmmm u think? im not sure its a good sign or anything. she asked me if the dentist i shadowed was my father. after i said no, she was like ok ken everything looks good now i will send it to the interview committee....

maybe interview committee is just where they make decisions for who to interviews?

That sounds like a strange question to ask but at least they called you, that's exciting. The interview committee is where they make decisions I believe. What are your stats? Do you have any comm service? I do know they are big on that.

My stats are not stellar. just above average. they like community service huh? i dont have many hours but maybe they liked wat i did for community service. i am part of a program where Project Homeless Connect and San Francisco dental society came together to do free dental treatments for the homeless in the ghetto parts of SF. my dad is a dentist that participates and im the chairside assistant for him

I haven't received anything from ASDOH other than
"Thank you for submitting your secondary application to A.T. Still University - Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Your application has been received and will be processed by our staff.

You will receive an email when your secondary application has been processed indicating how you may check your status online. Checking your status will allow you to see if letters of evaluation and DAT scores have been received. "

I wasn't sure if this is because my app is technically "on hold" there b/c they are waiting for my DAT retake scores. Has anyone gotten anything other than this/ can you check your app? When I log into the place they had us do the secondary it asks me for some confirmation code which is sent out in an email, which I apparently haven't gotten yet.

this is all ive gotten from ATSU too. but im getting worried because my dentist LOR (my other is a committee letter with a denist in it) has been "in progress' for weeks now and ive emailed the dentist two times and he's not getting back to me or changing it 🙁
 
How do you all check if you are missing something? on aadsas?

yeah, under the supplemental materials tab. or you could check your status by calling/emailing, but it depends on the school (some discourage this b/c there are so many apps being processed).

I think you should try this:

1) Drop in on his office.
2) Call him.

Sometimes email just isn't enough! 🙄

Sounds like a great program to be involved with. ASDOH does so many interviews (400 for the 60+ seats). It's crazy to think about competing with that many interviews but maybe we'll both get lucky 🙂.

Ran the exact stats on it (per ADEA Official Guide to Dental School). ASDOH interviews 438 people and of those 96 (21.9%) people are given acceptances at some point during the cycle. That's pretty low even for a private school since a place like Case Western for example accepts 80% of the people they interview or even Midwestern on the other side of town accepts 32% of the people they interview.

Anyone hear anything from ASDOH yet, besides secondaries...any interview invites or rejections? Thought I'd ask everyone...

yea. after that letter, u need to get another one that says they forwarded your secondary and your aadsas app to the interview committee.

Its too early still ASDOH starts sending invites the second week of August (if they keep up the pattern they have done the past couple years)
 
Indiana interview invite today!!!!! I'm stoked, I didn't think I had much of a chance there since my DAT scores aren't great. Anyone doing the two day interview?
 
Western has finally updated their application checklist. it says I have everything in now finally (dat scores and application) but still says application incomplete-items outstanding

Yes, of course I got that e-mail today about 2 hours after posting my question!

Thanks for the feedback! I just want to get my DAT retake over with so I can hopefully start receiving some interview invites :xf:

no, i haven't called them. i haven't received any correspondence from them, no app received email or anything. they might just start their review late though. depends on the school 🙂

Have you received the e-mail from ATSU with that confirmation code so we can check the status on the ATSU portal? I haven't yet...when did you send off your secondary? Thank you!
 
Ugh... Waiting for schools to contact me is getting to be so painful!

It's like there was an initial wave of interview invites (UConn, Midwestern, Nova) now all the schools are quiet! :scared:

Same here still waiting on the confirmation code as well submitted over a week ago.

When did you submit? I sent my Western secondary June 21st and it's not updated yet.
 
Did indiana ask you guys for proof of citizenship?
What forms are acceptable/what did you use?

2. What address do they want you to send the interview paper and materials to?
 
For ASDOH-
My secondary app was received 7/16. I emailed them first asking if I had missed the email/not received it yet, I received a response telling me my code and that my app "looks great, just waiting on those DAT scores to come in the first part of September." Since I am retaking. After receiving this email, I received a general one from the school saying my confirmation code as well. I would suggest if it takes more than 1.5 weeks you send them an email or call them verifying they received your secondary.

Last year I was in the first mailing and heard from Temple on 7/23. I guess by next week you should hear from them, they're probably starting a bit late this cycle.

EDIT: I just remembered, I called them a couple of months ago and they said they won't start anything until August, so it won't be too much longer.

For those of you who received "application complete" email from UNLV, can u tell me the email address you received it from? My mailing date was 7/23 like some of you but didnt receive anything from them yet. Should I call or wait?


and I heard from VCU this morning - Application Complete and Under Review 7/30
 
For NOVA,

Is the DAT score sent along with the AADSAS app sufficient?
OR do we need to send it separately via ADA?

I have been trying to reach them for a week but no luck...

They sent me an email saying they got my secondary but I haven't heard anything since then...
 
Western University finally updated their files online, so now it says they have my DAT scores and application as well as everything else.
 
I just received confirmation from OSU (Ohio State) that my application is complete and now ready for final review via email.

Mailing date: 7/2

This is on AADSAS I'm assuming?

This may be a good thing because they just didn't flat out reject you.
